Fabio Grosso shares his views after Fiorentina's 1-0 friendly victory over Gubbio.

How is training going and what are your first impressions after today's runout?

“The players are professional and serious. They know what they've been through and where we want to be. We're working really hard and got some first minutes in our legs today. We have more games to come and we'll try to keep improving our fitness so that we're in the best shape possible when it comes to the games that matter.”

Can the likes of Atta, Oulai and Fagioli alll play together in midfield? And who do you see as central?

“We're still building the team. We're still planning and we have lots of quality players coming in. With hard work we can turn this into a great Fiorentina team. I like the players I have – they can all play. Today I went with Rolando [Mandragora], Arthur [Atta] and [Cher] Ndour in the first half, then in the second we moved players around. [Marco] Brescianini pushed up because he had a problem, otherwise he would have played in the middle. Lapo [Deli] did well too. He's a promising player who can play. We have lots of players but we're all training hard to perform at our best. We still have plenty of time to build and put things into practice, and we'll see what happens in the transfer market. We push the players hard every day to try and raise our level.”
