The second week of Fiorentina Women’s training camp has got underway and new signing Benedetta Orsi has been incorporated into the group. Here’s some of what the defender had to say:

“I feel really positive. This group of players and staff are really keen to work hard. We’re working so hard because that’s what’s asked of us. I feel right at home here already, which wasn’t a given because I’d spent nine seasons at Sassuolo.”

“I’m not someone who gets overawed. I think I’m in the best place to play my football.”

“I know players here from the national team. I’ve spent a lot of time with everyone here. We’re watching the European Championships together.”

“The coach is really putting us through our paces. We’re working on our fitness as well as many small details. He wants us to take the game to the opposition and set the tone.”
