Fiorentina Women meet the children of Fondazione Caritas: emotions and fun at Viola Park

Fiorentina Women met the children of two Fondazione Caritas day centers: it was an exciting and fun afternoon at Viola Park

Yesterday was an exciting afternoon at Viola Park for the children of the Fondazione Solidarieta Caritas day centers in Corelli and Casellina, who had the chance to meet the Fiorentina Women’s team.

Emma Severini, Maria Luisa Filangeri and Sara Cetinja, along with coach Pablo Pinones-Arce, greeted the young guests, answered their questions and told them what the everyday life of a Serie A team is like: they talked about training, preparing for matches, as well as team moments both on and off the pitch. It was a spontaneous talk that also covered important issues such as the significance of sport in one’s personal development and the value of teamwork. The visit then continued with a guided tour of Viola Park, during which the children got to see from up close the training center where the Fiorentina teams do their work.

The day centers of the Fondazione Solidarieta Caritas offer educational services designed to support child development and provide guidance to families, by creating a welcoming, well-structured environment where one can experiment, grow and express him or herself. They welcome minors with challenging personal or social backgrounds and children with neurodevelopmental disorders, with the goal of fostering well-being, educational support and inclusion.

This initiative further enhances the partnership between Fiorentina and Fondazione Solidarieta Caritas, who already work together on the La Spesa che Vale campaign, a project that supports Caritas soup kitchens to guarantee food to those who need it most.
