The stands were full and there was great excitement for the open session in the evening on the fifth day of pre-season training, watched by the many fans who came to Bagno a Ripoli to support their idols. 

Afterwards, Nicolo Fagioli commented on the first week of the pre-season training.

It’s the fifth day of pre-season: how is it going? How are you coping physically?

“Fine. We’re training hard. Every day we have a heavy workload. We’re enjoying the time together, which is what matters. We're happy with the new staff. We're getting on really well.”

How are things going with the coach?

“He's great. He speaks to everyone. He's very direct, which is important. I like him. I've talked to him a couple of times and he has great expertise.”

Many U20 players are taking part in the training sessions too.  What can you say about these players, who have been working so hard in this first part of pre-season?

“They've adjusted very well. It was a bit hard for them at first because they're a little shy. But we're helping them: this way they can be relaxed as they play and show their skills.”
