Fiorentina Women’s Serie A season resumes on Sunday at 18:00 CET. After their great last-minute win against Milan, Coach Pablo Pinones Arce’s team are preparing to face Sassuolo at the Stadio Ricci.

Here’s what the coach had to say:

“To me this break has been very positive. Initially I too thought that this international break hadn’t come at the right time for us. But in fact, we worked very well with the players who stayed here. We had time to work on a few individual aspects. We also examined what we’ve done in recent matches, where we stand and how we can continue to improve.

“Sassuolo have very clear ideas. Their coach joined Sassuolo a pretty late stage, but he has had positive experiences in his previous clubs. Speed, ambition, clear ideas.

“This match has come at the right time. We’re always growing. We had a few good performances. However, we have to work on our consistency, from one match to the next and throughout a single game. There are many phases of the game we still want to improve. The season only started three months ago. We’ve worked with new players and new staff members.

“We’ve played some matches very well, while others weren’t as good. Consistency will be very important.”
