Fiorentina Women produced a solid display to hold title-chasing Roma to a draw and earn a big point in their own quest secure Champions League football for next season.

Pauline Hammarlund had the ball in the back of the net for Sebastian De La Fuente's side after just two minutes but it was ruled out after Emma Severini was adjudged to have fouled the keeper.

Hammarlund had another chance to score in the first half while Elisa Bartoli and Anja Sonstevold went close for the Giallorosse.

After the restart it was Madelen Janogy and Valentina Giacinti with the best opportunities to break the deadlock but it wasn't to be.

A point apiece edges Roma closer to the Scudetto and means Fiorentina could clinch European football for next season on Saturday if they beat Sassuolo at Viola Park and Inter drop points against Juventus.
