Dodo is unveiled as a new Fiorentina player and presented to press and fans.

"It is a happy moment in my career and this is an opportunity to open many doors to me. It will be a good year. The UEFA Europa Conference League is an objective for the whole team. I already have international experience and I think it is important for Fiorentina to win the play-off and also to fight for a place in the Champions League, with a top four finish in Serie A. I'm not on top form yet but I hope to be ready as early as next week.

Fiorentina made an important effort to take me, despite me not playing much recently. They had a lot of faith in me.

I have already played with teams like Inter and Atalanta. I know that the most important aspect here in Italy for a defender is that of marking at the back. I talked to Roberto Carlos and he also gave me several tips about it. I can't wait to see the a full house at the Franchi. I hope to show my qualities both at home and away."
