FIORENTINA AND KAPPA® UNVEIL NEW KOMBATTM PRO 21/22 KIT The 1980s-inspired design and halberd logo pay tribute to some of the most iconic moments in the club’s history as it marks its 95th anniversary. Fiorentina Femminile will wear their very own kit thanks to the first edition of the Kappa® Kombat™ Lady.

05 August 2021

Florence, 5 August 2021 – Back home. With just a few days to go until the Franchi reopens to the public for the first matches of the season, Fiorentina and the BasicNet Group have unveiled the brand-new Kappa® Kombat™ Pro 21/22 kit, which draws on the history of the club to create a design which combines both tradition and PRO KOMBAT™ technology.

The horizontal stripe evokes images of the shirts worn by the Viola in the 1980s, a decade that generated a series of unforgettable moments that the Fiorentina faithful have handed down from generation to generation, their memories charged with nostalgia and passion. The new-look halberd logo forms part of that club heritage too – which is why Fiorentina has decided to restore it to the team’s jerseys, in the year of the club’s 95th anniversary, to celebrate it and introduce a new generation of fans to this iconic symbol.

The collection – which includes kits in purple, white, red and yellow – also features a special strip for Fiorentina Femminile. For the first time ever, the team will wear women’s-fit match shirts, with the Kappa® Kombat™ Pro adapted for Fiorentina Femminile’s first-team players.

The design is identical for the men’s and women’s kits, with ultra-lightweight materials used and nylon stretch stitching ensuring maximum comfort and elasticity. Hidroway Protection technology guarantees breathability and allows body heat to escape, with each and every detail and feature designed to eliminate skin irritation.

The 2021/22 season will once again see Kappa® provide Fiorentina with not only match kits and sportswear, but also casualwear and footwear through the Robe di Kappa®, K-Way®, Superga®, Briko® and Sebago® brands. Both the men’s and women’s youth teams will also wear the branded clothing from the BasicNet Group.

Completing the match kits are Fiorentina’s suite of shirt sponsors: Mediacom is the Main Sponsor, Prima Assicurazioni is the Back-shirt Sponsor and Estra stays on as the Sleeve Sponsor for the 2021/22 campaign.

The new jerseys are on sale as of today on Fiorentinastore.com and in all Fiorentina Stores. And for the first time, fans can also get their fresh Fiorentina jersey from Rinascente Firenze, which has been an official club partner for the last three seasons and will host a Fiorentina corner on the first floor of its Piazza della Repubblica store location, offering the entire 2021/22 product range as well as shirt personalisation. The new jerseys will also feature in one of Rinascente Firenze’s windowfronts, ensuring incredible visibility right in the heart of the city.

Thanks to the recently announced collaboration with Genuino, for the first time in the club’s history the new Fiorentina shirt is also a collectable NFT, as part of an initiative that combines both the digital and the physical. NFTs of 95 Fiorentina jerseys, numbered from 1 to 95 and traced through blockchain, will soon be on sale on the Genuino.World platform, giving collectors and fans alike the chance to purchase not only Fiorentina’s first-ever NFTs but also a truly unique, physical jersey. It marks the start of Viola 9.5, a digital and physical collectables campaign that will span the entire 2021/22 season as part of the club’s 95th anniversary celebrations.
