Read coach Paolo Vanoli’s and Hans Nicolussi Caviglia’s comments ahead of Fiorentina’s Conference League match against AEK Athens, delivered at the press conference at the Viola Park’s Wind Tre Media Center.
COACH PAOLO VANOLI:
CONFERENCE LEAGUE - “It’s another match where I can watch other players in action. This European match has come at the right time and, if we want to make a quantum leap, we must understand the beauty of having the chance to play every three days.”
CURRENT SITUATION - “Right now we can’t waste a single training session. Now more than ever, working well is crucial.”
TURNOVER - “What I can tell you is that [David] De Gea and [Edin] Dzeko will start.”
EUROPE - “My European debut is not important. Now there are other things we must focus on.”
AEK ATHENS - “They’re a very proactive, attack-oriented team. They have wide players. [Marko] Nikolic’s team knows very well that anything can happen in the Conference League. There are many ambitious teams in the Greek football league.”
AMIR RICHARDSON - “Players who give it their all in training will always get a chance with me. We need everyone’s contribution.”
ALBERT GUDMUNDSSON - “He has the right qualities; he’s an important player for the team. I believe that he will deliver in a big way for us.”
PIETRO COMUZZO - “He’s a complete player. Pietro is growing and has great prospects. He will soon show us what he can achieve.”
NICOLUSSI CAVIGLIA:
VANOLI - “He’s helping us grow a lot. Over time we’ll be able to deliver on the pitch what he’s been asking from us.”
MATCH - “Being able to accurately read the key moments of a match is something we’ve been working a lot on because it’s something we really need to improve on.”
AEK ATHENS - “AEK have a great attitude on the pitch, which is a crucial asset in football. We and our technical staff are also working on that aspect.”
