Moena 2022: summer training camp dates

03 June 2022

Fiorentina will carry out the first stage of their pre-season between 10 and 24 July in Moena, a beautiful town nestled in Val di Fassa in the magnificent Dolomites. This will be the tenth time the club have headed to Moena in order to prepare for the upcoming campaign. What’s more, later in the summer the Viola’s women’s team will also be heading to Moena, between 24 July and 7 August.

The Centro Sportivo Cesare Benatti is set to host both the men’s and women’s teams for daily training sessions. Meanwhile, Viola Village will serve as a meeting point for all Fiorentina fans following the team, with an exciting programme of activities and events in store for those attending over the two weeks of the camp.

"We’re proud to have this long-standing partnership,” commented Giuseppe Barone, ACF Fiorentina’s General Manager. “Moena and the whole of Val di Fassa now feels like a second home to Fiorentina. They’ve won our fans over with their warm welcomes and their knack of keeping things fresh year on year."

Maurizio Rossini, CEO of Trentino Marketing, who are involved in the organising of the event, was keen to share his thoughts on Moena hosting yet another Fiorentina summer camp. "Trentino and Fiorentina have now been collaborating for ten years, and the number ten holds a lot of value in the world of football. I’d like to think that there’s something really special with what we’ve done together over these years; it’s benefitted both parties massively. Sport and tourism go so well together and the huge presence of Fiorentina fans in Val di Fassa in the summer and the winter is proof of that. We can’t wait for the teams and fans to join us here for another coming together of Val di Fassa and Florence.”

As for Paolo Grigolli, APT General Manager of Val di Fassa, he was also eager to express the importance of the summer camp for the region: "Moena and Val di Fassa are celebrating a fantastic milestone this year. Fiorentina have now been coming here for ten years and over this time period we’ve forged a great bond with the team, their fans and the city of Florence. It’s set to be an intense summer programme of friendlies and we and fans alike will get to enjoy the games once more at the Campo Sportivo Carlo Benatti, while also taking time away from football to marvel at the wonderful scenery of the Dolomites.”
