With regard to the article published yesterday in the online version of Il Fatto Quotidiano relating to the lawsuit lodged against journalist Andrea Di Caro, ACF Fiorentina would like to take this opportunity to specify that the malicious statements comprising the lawsuit - which are offensive to the good name of the president, club and entire Italian-American community - were classified not as ironic, but as seriously defamatory by the judicial authorities.

In more specific terms, the Cagliari Prosecutor’s Office recently closed its investigation into the article in the newspaper in question, published in La Gazzetta dello Sport on 15 May 2021, describing the content as aggravated defamation through the media.
