Cesare Prandelli faced the press at 13.30 CET ahead of the Serie A clash between Fiorentina and Benevento.

ON THE PLAYERS - "I want to see a Fiorentina side that wants to win. I want to see my players united, with the same aim. And I want to see players who know what to do when in possession. The players are willing to learn and improve. Those who returned from international duty have also also worked well. Everyone is working hard - this is normal and should always happen"

ON THE CLUB - "I found a united club, a professional group and staff. I think everything is in place to achieve important things. The fans can be assured that the President and club are investing for the future - investing in the Training Center and in the stadium. This is the most important aspect. The club is working for the future, keep this in mind." 

ON INDIVIDUAL QUALITY - "I like [Erick] Pulgar a lot. He has quality in midfield, he is good on set pieces and is important for Fiorentina. Having several options means I can change formation and players. I believe having 5 substitutions can be key. A striker needs to score goals and be part of the attacking moves. I don't intend to change too often - we need to find consistency. Ribery is a winner - he never wants to lose. I said I don't want him to be our only source of attacking power. I want him to be key in several aspects of our game and areas of the pitch. We're working together. I spoke to Callejon. He is a key player and make a difference. But he needs to be physically ready and on top form. He is working for that. We'll see what do to with him. Once on top form he will be key."

ON BEING BRAVE - "We need to be brave going forward. We need to be brave on the ball under pressure. Being brave means handling pressure and going forward with quality."

ON REPRESENTING FLORENCE - "I want a team with the right mentality. We need to give our all because we represent Florence everywhere we go. This is an important step we need to make in order to improve. We need to be united, defending ourselves from external opponents. We all love Fiorentina"

ON BENEVENTO - "To beat Benevento we must fight like they do. They're best quality is being quick on the break, transitioning from defence to attack. It's clear that they've been playing together for a while and have automatic movements. We need to put in the same effort as they do, and try and show our superior quality. Nothing has changed from my last experience - I'll never tell you the starting XI ahead of the game. I don't want to give anyone any advantage, and I respect my players - they must know it first."
